Dietician Service
The Dietetic Assistant works on a rota basis in the day unit and assists individuals in managing an appropriate eating pattern. This is done by:
- Assessing problems that may be experienced in relation to food and nutrition
- Advising on ways to best meet nutritional needs
- Suggesting ways to overcome or deal with food related problems
- Providing information on food and nutrition for the individual, their relatives and carers
- Referral to Dietician
The Dietetic Assistant aims to help individuals:
- Make the most of enjoying their food
- Lessen food related discomfort
- Help nutritionally support individuals to improve quality of life
